FLASH FICTION | White Van

One night, I was outside walking towards home. Suddenly, I heard a noise getting louder and louder. I looked behind and saw a vehicle coming in my direction. Because of the dark, I wasn't able to see the vehicle very clearly but it kinda looks like a van from afar. Recently, the kidnapping rate in our community has risen. When the authorities checked the CCTV, they spotted a white van in almost every kidnapping case they have got. At that moment, I thought I'm gonna be the next victim so I ran as quickly as I could. Not long after, the van catches up to me. "This is it, I'm now a dead man" I said to myself. Moments later I was surprised as the van passed by. It turns out it's not a white van used by the kidnappers but an ambulance.
